LCR800 Series Product Information
The Basic accuracy of LCR meters is the best accuracy you can get when testing in best conditions. Basic accuracy does not add the error from extra factors like fixtures or cables and under the optimum test signal, frequencies, highest accuracy setting or slowest measurement speed and impedance of the DUT. Therefore, it is really important to know the actual accuracy of the measurement you want to perform in real world. Measurement range, speed, test frequency and voltage level are the factors we need to consider.
Moreover, there are additional errors including dissipation factor (D) of the DUT, internal source impedance and ranges of the instrument, which all affect accuracy. The accuracy formulas will take into account each of the factors affecting accuracy.
There are two possible reasons that Short Zeroing can fail.
The LCR800 series RS232 configuration as below:
RS232 configuration Connector DB9, Male
Baud rate 38400 (default)
 Data bit 8
 Parity None
 Stop bit 1
 Flow control None
The LCR06A test fixture is very sensitive and thus must be used correctly.
The LCR821 can provide 504 different frequencies with a 5 digit resolution including decimal places. Any frequency can be keyed from the number pad, and the closest available frequency (of 504) will be selected automatically. The LCR818/829 has 503 different frequencies and the LCR817/827 and LCR816/826 have 489 and 245, respectively.
To calculate the different possible frequencies, use the tables below.
LCR821 Frequency range Formula n range
0.012 To 0.23077kHz 3kHz/n 13 to 250
